Marisol Salanova (Valencia, Spain, 1982) is a philosopher and a researcher in the fields of the Arts and Philosophy. A graduate with a degree in Philosophy from the University of Valencia (UV-EG), her main areas of research are: Visual Culture, Technological Identity and Museum Education Programs, specialising in Gender Conceptualisation within Contemporary Art. In 2009 she studied a Master in Contemporary Philosophical Thought at the University of Valencia and has enrolled for a Master in Art Production at UPV (Polytechnic University of Valencia) in 2010-2011. Since 2007 she has worked as an assistant (1st AD) at Galería Tomás March in Valencia and throughout 2010 she has been a member of the didactic and communication department at the EACC (Espai d'Art Contemporani de Castelló), as a university researcher. She is a regular speaker at conferences, symposia and encounters directly or indirectly related with her areas of interest, with the purpose of exchanging information, broadening her knowledge, and expanding and presenting her research. She has collaborated in educational workshops at the IVAM (Valencian Institute of Modern Art), Fundación Cibervoluntarios and IVADIS (Valencian Institute of Care for Disabled). She is also a collaborator on the live net radio program Planeta Libre on the digital radio station of the Universidad de Antioquia (Medellín, Colombia) and has been a member of the editorial board of the twice-yearly philosophy magazine Dilema. She is a member of the coordination team of OCS (Observatory for CyberSociety) and she has been recently selected for a research grant at the Department of Equality of the Valencian International University (VIU).
