The use of computer mediated communication and other digital devices is considerably increasing in our society in a variety of spheres like in the labour context, teaching and learning, leisure time, relations with government administration, and almost any area that we could consider. More and more of our relations are based on non-traditional face to face interaction.
There is a strong debate around the question of whether explanatory and training models applied in the last decades to face to face communication are applicable to psychosocial processes involved in mediated communication. Communication mediated by new technologies could affect either positively or negatively to people and their environment. This group aims, from a multidisciplinary approach, to promote theoretical and practical developments about mediated communication.
