Work Group description

Small and medium enterprises represent 90% of the company sector on Mediterranean countries.

According to the Statistics National Institute (Spanish) (Instituto Nacional de Estadistica) only 2,7% of the Spanish companies have more than 20 employees. This shows the importance of small and medium enterprises for the Spanish company sector.

On the other hand, the experience of Kpacita has enabled contact with a wide range of small and medium enterprises, as well as representatives of different sectors.

On the innovation field, small and medium size businessmen have a lot to say. Direct contact with the market on crisis time makes company competitiveness improve where innovative elements are key when applied to daily reality.

The work group rises as foundations to show how to share experiences, achieve the spreading effect and, especially, facilitate the right environment for debate and reflection.
