Work Team F-36: Shared and Everyday use of Internet

Communications

Initial questions

* What kind of everday interactions do we share by means of internet?, how do we do it?

* What meaning do our practices with new media and technology have?

What kind of technologies and media do we use and what type of mediation do they exert in such interactions?

* How are those interactions incorporated into the "face-to-face" practical contexts? ,what goals do underlie to them?

Work Group description

Talking about internet has become an accepted and commonplace topic on discussions nowadays. By being a variable and ever-changing matter, analyzing and keeping an eye on its constant change becomes a must in order to understand today's world.

Our goal in this working group is to foster debate and a interdisciplinar thinking around the shared use in everday activity of people on the net. We are keen in a wide range of issues ranging from educational, sexual, informative, moral, affective and, in a broad sense, those implied in social relationships.

We aim, therefore, to indagate in the meaning and sense underlying the appropiation and use of technological artifacts, and the way these mediate our experience of the everyday social reality.
